Carrots increase saliva and supply essential minerals, vitamins and enzymes that aid digestion. Carrots help to prevent gastric ulcers and other digestive disorders. Carrots contain alkaline elements, which purify the blood and balance the acid-base ratio of the body. Carrots help to reduce elevated blood pressure levels by maintaining healthy sodium levels in the body.

Carrots contain a phytonutrient called falcarinol, which may lowers the risk of colon cancer and helps promote the overall colon health. So it is very necessary to include carrot in daily diet for maintaining a good health.
